Note: All delivery orders must be a minimum of $75.00 before tax. If your order is below the minimum, an additional charge will be applied in the amount necessary to meet the $75.00 minimum.

How Will My Orders Be Processed?

Once you have decided on your menu and have filled out the Zuchter Berk Food and Beverage Request Online Form, you will receive an email confirmation of your order.

Please do not assume that we have received your order if you do not hear from us by email. Your order is confirmed “in receipt” by Zuchter Berk upon our confirmation email sent to you only.

Is There A Minimum?

All items on our JWLJCC require a minimum of 10 orders, unless otherwise stated. Minimum charge for delivery in the building during regular cafe hours is $75 – otherwise surcharge will apply.

What Is Zuchter Berk’s Change and Cancellation Policies?

Zuchter Berk will accept changes and cancellations to existing orders up until 24 hours before your meeting. Please note that changes or cancellations for meetings on Mondays must be made on the preceding Friday by 12 noon.  Orders can be delivered to a different room if given appropriate notice. If you need to change something on your existing order we require an online update and not verbally over the telephone. Same day orders are subject to a $45.00 surcharge.

Do I Pay For Food I Do Not Use?

Zuchter Berk provides food and beverage for the number of guests ordered. For example, if you’ve booked a meeting for 10 people we will provide enough food and beverage for 10 people. Therefore, if only 8 people show up, you will still be charged for 10 people. The same applies to meetings that are cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice. Zuchter Berk will be charging you for the food and beverages.

What Additional Charges Might I Incur?

If required, Zuchter Berk can arrange for a number of added services including linen rentals, upgraded dishware/flatware/glassware rentals and outside professional wait staff at an extra charge.

You will be notified of the costs of these additional services in writing before your event. If you require any of these additional services please note we will require 4 days’ notice.

Events Inside the Leo & Sala Goldhar Conference & Celebration Centre  where dishes (not disposables) are used, a dishwashing fee will be applied to your final invoice.  If rentals are required, Zuchter Berk must receive final numbers & changes a minimum of 2 business days prior to the event.

Chef charges apply to events when food is ordered that is not on the standard JWLJCC menu. (i.e. passed hors d’oeuvres). Serving Staff Charges on events are as follows: Staffing for a buffet style event is based on 1 wait staff per 20 guests where replenishments or table clearing is required.  Staffing on served meal events is based on 1 wait staff per 10 guests.  Once staff has been booked, we cannot decrease the amount.  Wait staff are booked on a minimum of four hours.

What Do I Need To Know About The Room Set Up?

Room Set up is arranged by the maintenance department at JWLJCC.  They set up the room according to instructions given.   For standard boardroom meetings, ordered directly from our order form, there are no additional services included (i.e. refreshing of beverages). An event where additional services such as refreshing food and beverages, clearing tables during , accommodating special requests of guests, etc. additional wait staff can be arranged our Sales Representative at 905-303-2353 ext. 3202.
Room Rental Fees may apply & will be charged accordingly on your final invoice.

Billing Instructions and Information

After your meeting, please provide a copy of the Zuchter Berk Food and Beverage Online Request Form to your agency’s accounting department. It is very important that the accounting department receives a copy in a timely manner.

Does Zuchter Berk Offer Catering Services for Meetings and Events Off-Site?

Zuchter Berk offers catering services outside of the JWLJCC and would be more than happy to service your catering needs virtually anywhere in Ontario. Please bear in mind that the menu prices in this package are exclusively for the JWLJCC . A member of our service team would be more than happy to assist you with your off-site events should you have any.

All food is served on disposable platters, unless rental dishes are ordered. Please add disposable dishes to your order if required – see additional items section at bottom of order form
